GUIDELINES

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR RECYCLING

Rabbit Recycling hand sorts every item and material that enters our shop.

Please ensure that any bag that contained food or liquid is cut open, cleaned, and dried.

We suggest hand-washing for flexible materials and bags and/or using a dishwasher for solid items.

We cannot accept anything that has been contaminated with human bodily waste or meat products.

We ask our customers to clean and dry any materials that contained food.

This means cutting open snack bags to wipe them out

or using soap and water to clean takeout food containers.

While most do a good job cleaning, there

is often moisture left in jars, cans, bottles, bags, etc.

if customers do not set recycling aside to dry.

We cannot recycle items that have food/beverage

residue or items that are not fully dry.

COMMON CONTAMINANTS

PESTS

We urge our customers to keep their containers

inside with the lid on to keep bugs and other pests out.

If your recycling is not properly cleaned, this will attract more bugs.
