REQUIRED PRACTICES TO PREPARE YOUR MATERIALS FOR COLLECTION
CLEANLINESS
CLEAN and DRY materials only. This means no dirt, debris, food-waste or residue.

BATTERY GUIDELINES
We have specific rules for accepting batteries, on this page you'll find
details on the types of batteries we will / will not accept, how to safely
package up your batteries in your recycling container
and what qualifies as damaged, making these batteries unaceptable.
ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
Additional Materials are items set out for collection
outside of our standard 18-gallon bin. We do accept additional materials alongside your bin for pickup, especially large bulky materials like cardboard and styrofoam-
in all cases you will be invoiced for the cost of this material after the pickup occurs.
PLEASE NOTE: We NO LONGER ACCEPT additional materials in paper bags
To ensure your additional materials are easily collected by our drivers,
your materials must be placed in:
-A CARDBOARD BOX
-A PLASTIC CONTAINER
-A SEALED TRASH BAG [no glass in trash bags please]

Boxes must be closed and stackable, bags must be sealed
A few notable exceptions include, TVs, Vaccuum Cleaners, Kitchen Appliances
if you're unsure if your additional material needs to be boxed / bagged,
you can always ask us via email.
For additional materials, you must inform us of this material
This can be in response to your SERVICE REMINDER email
which we send 24-hours prior to your pickup date
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Please do not overfill your bins. Lids must be able to fit securely.
Overfilled containers cannot be stacked in our van
and material often falls out during collection and transporting.

If you have additional material for pickup,
you must inform us prior to the collection date.

Additional fees will be added for customers who:
-Make no attempt to inform us of additional materials,
-Have overflowing containers, or additional material not boxed / bagged properly.
Consider the weight of your bin
Heavy bins can be unsafe for our drivers to carry
(especially in inclement weather and when parking is difficult).
